Meet Your Therapist
My name is Dr Dominic Doyle - clinical psychologist and psychotherapist.
I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist for 15 years, across hospital and private practice settings.
In 2021 I opened my Mont Albert private practice, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. This has given me the independence to offer the kind of therapy that doesn’t rush past your experience, but takes the time to understand it.
Throughout my time, I I have come to understand that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective psychotherapy. By offering a safe, trusted space, where you can feel seen, heard, and understood, often in ways one hasn't experienced elsewhere, can lead to lasting change and real emotional growth.
If you are in distress or feeling emotionally troubled or simply confused and unsure about what’s going on in your life, an effective therapy relationship can offer a vital sense of stability and support, ease isolation and allow us to grasp what really might be the matter.
Therapy is most effective when it’s a shared process. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all formula, either. We’ll work at your pace, guided by your story and your needs. We’ll start with where you’re at.
When we express ourselves to another, we give ourselves an opportunity to say something that we would not have thought, had we just been thinking. Talking matters. As does realising that we are worth listening to.
